tbh if you dont have wifi, dont get a pspgo. Its a digital download only console. Its possible to use a wired connection, and media go (pc program) to download games, but imho its not worth it without wifi. basically, you cant connect the psp to the net with out wifi

Go for the 3000, if your really keen on a psp, but have no wifi, it still has a UMD drive to get games.
Even then, all psps really shine with wifi: store, surfing, internet radio, skype, etc.

also its called tethering........

the op asked if he could browse the net not download!!

OP using tethering to browse the net is absolutely fine, you wont notice a difference in browsing speed when compared to wifi BUT
check and make sure your your phones bluetooth will work with the psp-go all i know is that tethering does not work with most windows mobile phones using the qualcom chipset, you should be safe with any recent SE phone, not sure about any others.
