price of games on the psn network

i got a psp go of a mate last week for £120 and i love it, i have all the current free games, but i was looking on the store and i found the price of new games shocking, i fancy gta china town wars which is £29.99 in store, but i can buy for £15 in tescos, the same with lbp the game is under £20 in tesco. Sony should realy look at there pricing in the store if they want the go to sell. IF the prices dont come down i will stcik to the psp minis and the games i have for the moment.

Newly released games are always going to be at their RRP (a price which is set by the publisher, not Sony) The Go is a premium console which is aimed at early adopters.

The good news is that older games & weekly specials are really reasonable, the 3D GTA's around £14, same with GOW. MGS Portable OPS has just been released for around £8, Killzone for £8, PSone games around £5. Factor in the money you can save buying PSN vouchers offline and things get even better.

Ive mentioned this in the past, if you have a Go you will need to be patient to get the best out of it (unless money is no object) Every 2 weeks the specials on the store changes and your chosen game/s will eventually be in there.

Got to agree on the pricing, for instance Holy Invasion of Privacy Badman is £23.99 vs $9.99 (on special).
New releases tend to be cheaper on the UK store though at around £19.99 - £21.99 vs $39.99.

It's a shame there's loads more PSP content on the US store.
