Re: psp cfw back to ofw

the quick answer is yes

You could also upgrade the CFW to the latest version which MAY allow you to run the latest games as wellas 'homebrew' software and applications

Re: psp cfw back to ofw

cfw is 5.00 and the game requires the very latest one (the game is gran tourismo, dirt and g i joe) , not bothered about homebrew etc, so putting the official fw back on is perfectly acceptable, is it just a case of put the game in and hit update?

Re: psp cfw back to ofw

I bought GT and Dirt2 and they also wouldn't work on my CFW PSP. Not wanting to be rid of the CFW I actually "obtained" hacked versions from the Internet. I have the games so I don't consider this piracy. In the main I rip my own paid for games and store on MS for convenienece and didn't want to lose this ability by ditching the CFW.

You can download an app to decrypt the games but that would mean running them from memory card as iso, or I believe the 5.50GEN-B custom firmware would let you play.
