Anyone using an American PSP Go with a UK PSN account?

If so, any issues with compatibility or anything like that? Did you get your 3 free games (if you owned an older PSP) and/or Gran Turismo?

I'm thinking about getting one from the US, but want to make sure it is absolutely the same as ours over here.

Also, what are the model numbers of American and European PSP Gos?

Thanks!

Well you can use the uk store no problems (it is easy to set up multiple accounts.

As far as I know, if you buy a go from the US then you will not get the 3 free games.
The Gran Turismo offer ran out on the 10th October

Is that confirmed? No one who has imported a PSP Go has got the 3 games?

Re: Anyone using an American PSP Go with a UK PSN account?

I have a US PSP Go which I received the day after launch. i downloaded the GT theme to register for the GT offer but have not received an email yet with the code. I also used a UK PSP 2000 with my UK account and a UK UMD game to register for the three free games. I still have not received an email with the code for that either. It could be Sony taking their own sweet time or I suspect more likely they have some way of detecting it is a US PSP Go and I won't receive either offer. As already mentioned the GT offer has now expired anyway.

Regards the user accounts it seems like you can only have one account at a time as far as I can tell. Also when I tried to delete my UK account and log in to my US account it wouldn't let me.

The other issue I have at least with demos which is all I have on there on the moment is that you cannot have demos from more then one region. If the system is activated for UK demos then US ones will not work and vice versa. Also as far as I can tell there is no way of switching from one to the other easily. I don't know yet if it also applies to full retail games.

Thanks Moogle, I would only be using my UK PSN account so most of those points wouldn't be an issue for me. Could you post back if your code does turn up?
Thanks!

Re: Anyone using an American PSP Go with a UK PSN account?

i've got one also

got it on launch day in orlando (nice pearl one!) i got it set up straight away on the hotels wifi & was able to download a few uk demos but the games (those i already had in my download history) kept failing to fully download but i think this was down to the hotels ropey wifi & being big files.

now i'm home i've put all the ps1 games on my ps3 onto the pspgo. but i do have a problem. while in orlando airport waiting to come home i bought patapon 2, which is just a download voucher/code. when i try to use in on the uk psn is says its invalid i'm guessing it has to be downloaded on a us account, even though i specifically asked if it was ok for a uk account!

anyonw know how i can get it onto the pspgo?

Do you have a US account on your PS3 ? Can you not redeem it and download the game on there and then copy it over to the PSP Go.

It could be that your PSP Go is activated for UK games only and the Patapon code won't work because it is US. I haven't downloaded any retail games either US or UK so I can't confirm that this is the reason. Certainly you cannot have UK and US demos working at the same time as I found out. Even though I have my UK PSN account on mine it is activated for US demos so they all work. However if I download and install any UK demos then I have to reactivate it in which case the US demos won't work any more.
