Gran Turismo - Play & Help Thread

Thought I would set this up being PSP Go owners I'm sure a couple of people own this

Thoughts? I really like it, the way they have handled it makes great sense for a handheld game - keep finding myself picking it up for a quick race.

Looks amazing and the bumper view has a good sense of speed. Looking forward to buying some rally cars as apparently Dirt 2 on the PSP is terrible and rally is my fav type of racing.

bought a little clio as my first car

What a Glorious little game!
Downloaded from the store yesterday (3 1/2hrs to DL) and had a bit of a play. Im on day 15 own 8 cars and done gold in the first 2 blocks of challenges and have around 400,000cr.
Sure the lack of career and proper tuning is dissapointing but it's still quite an accomplisment to have all this in 1010mb.
Wonderfull game 9.5/10 with career and full modding like GT4 etc then would have gave it 10 but just to me seems like a GT Prologue type effort.
Great tho.

Yeah it's awesome and suprised this thread is quiet.
Done 62 challenges with 55 gold so far (Unlocks extra blocks J-Q), quite a bit of credits avaiable on them, most over 100,000 each as u get on a bit.
Great game, although a tad hampered with x button accelerate i love it.

Re: Gran Turismo - Play & Help Thread

What control setup do you guys have? I went over and redid them all so I have

Accelerate : R
Brake : L
Gear Up : Triangle
Gear Down : Circle
Handbrake : Square
View : X

And then steering with the analogue, feels great.

does anyone know when or how you unlock the ability to use your own MP3's in game?

Re: Gran Turismo - Play & Help Thread

I paired my PS3 controller to my PSP last night and had a few races like that, felt good the only awkward thing was propping up the PSP but using the analogue stick for steering was really good. Would be interested to hook it up to my TV and see how it compares to PS2 versions.

Having to stop myself buying all the faster cars or I'll never try out the slower ones - leaves me with a fiat 500 or fiat panda as my next car

Assuming that a psp go function? Do that on a normal PSP?

Once seen on a big screen wont look very good, Low res an all will look best on the PSP screen Play it how it's meant to be.
Do wish there was an right analogue stick, even the same as the left stick would be a bit better than the button for accel.

Waiting the the Bugatti Dealer to appear again to get the veryron have a ton of credits ready.
