Question Got It!

Well, my new pspgo has turned up
However, i'm trying to connect to my router so that i can download the free GT theme as you need to do this before the 10th so that you can get GT for free...and it refuses to connect to it

Its recognised my network but just will not let me join it...just like my PS3.

I take it that its not because my router uses WPA2 encryption and not the 'old' wep is it.... ???

Re: Got It!

Just got mine I may or may not of chased the delivery man up the street in my sock

Beautiful thing, best looking console Ive owned I would say. Not sure about your connection problem, if your having trouble on your PS3 too I would say the problem is at the router. if you get desperate go connect at a free wifi spot in a hotel or something before the 10th

I connected OK, no real hassle if you have done it on the PS3

sticking some games on it now, report back soon

Re: Got It!

Had no problems connecting to my router either. I've just finished registering for the GT and the 3 free games promo and all went fine. Wouldn't let me use my Jap copy of Parodius so had to use MH instead, weird.

Just waiting for the emails now. Might have to download something else while I'm waiting.

Agreed it really is a beautiful bit of kit, definitely need a case of some sort though.

If anyone's interested I've just ordered one of these cases. It was only five and a half quid so not too expensive, plus you get free delivery.

Thumbs up Re: Got It!

Ok, all sorted
Looks like it was the encryption on my router after all
Once i'd knocked down to normal (wep) both my PS3 and PSPGo locked on straight away...and i've got the GT theme too so all i need is the email so that i can claim my free copy

I bought my 'go' from TescoDirect and after using some discount vouchers they sent me it cost £155...so considering they want £21.99 for GT (and i'm getting it free) i don't think i got a bad deal in the end

Now for the bad news, all the work on the 'go' was done by my wife as she did'nt want me to see it as she has now boxed it back up and has put it away for me and she won't let me have it UNTIL CHRISTMAS

At least it will give me a chance to decide on what games etc. to get for it lol

Re: Got It!

I bought this from Game thinking it would be ideal as you can play with the Go! in the case but it really doesn't work very well because the Go! is so skinny that it's awkward getting to the shoulder buttons, unless you have the fingers of a 12 year old of course

Re: Got It!

Best to ask those who've got one.

I'm wondering if anyone has transferred some music to their Go and listened to it through headphones? How good is the sound quality?

I don't have a handheld and there's a few PSP games I'd like, GT, FinalFantasy D.

Only thing is, I'd have to sell my 8gb iPod Touch to be able to afford one.

Is it worth it?

Just stuck some music on it this morning, Sound quality is no less than what I get from my Ipod although the PSP can go a lot louder than my ipod

Music pulled from an itunes library goes great on the PSP, All my album art work is there and correctly labelled even down to the genre of music. Doing it this way also sorts it into nice folders. A separate one for each artist and then within those folders separate albums.

The ability to start one of one of seven visual players and then have the device closed whilst listening to music is a nice touch allowing the Go to be popped in a pocket.

I would say that the music feature is more than robust enough to be used as an everyday MP3 player.

I'm a mac user, if you plug the Go! into your mac it will show up like any other external device which you can open and drag and drop items onto and off of it. There will be folders already on it which makes it obvious what needs to go where

The problem is you have to go hunting for them amongst the games. There are only a few from what I can see.

you can drag and drop stuff to it, but you can't download games to it. I use media go in parallels and it seems to work fine - downloaded a bunch of games yesterday and transferred them

If you've already downloaded games (either directly or using a PS3), you can also copy them back across to your computer to keep them safe or if you fill the memory you can swap games in/out.

Re: Got It!

So how are those that've got one finding it? Most complaints I've read are about it being too small (Irony) but my hands are quite wee, lol. I don't think I'll have any issues with the nub being too far to the right.

Dual nubs in the middle would've been sweet for fps no?
