PS3 and PSP Newbie Link/Guide

I just managed to buy a 2nd hand PSP on an auction site. It will come with no box or manual and I know almost zero about them. I have a PS3 and know you can do somem funky stuff with them together, and also some fancy network stuff, but don't know what.

Couldn't see an idiots guide thread on here - any direction or links would be gratefully receieved.

Thanks.

Re: PS3 and PSP Newbie Link/Guide

... first you need to "pair" your PSP with the PS3, if I recall you do this in the settings part of the PS3 (far left icon, the scroll down)... After you have done that it is pretty straight forward.

You can then use the PSP to "stream" content from the PS3, inc music/photos/internet/iplayer/PlayTV/movies on the HD/and some PS1/PSP games on the HD. This streaming can be done either direct with the PS3/via you router/or over the WWW. There are two ways to do this...

You can either do it manualy, i.e. put your PS3 in "remote play mode", then select remote play from your PSP. Or you can select a setting on the PS3, not sure what it is called, but basically it "wakes" the PS3 up from stand-by when you put the PSP in remote play mode, however this uses additional power even when the PS3 is on stand-by!!!

Sorry I am a bit vague, but its pretty straightforward, so have a play around, you won't break anything.
