Unhappy Oh no I think I see DLP Rainbow

So today I got time to sit down and have a good play around with my
Optoma hd65. On games I dont see anything if I do I dont notes it but I then put Die hard 4 dvd on the ps3 and I think I can see the rainbow effect. its hard to put in words but im gutted as its only got around 5 hours on the lamp so looks like im going to have to sell : and try out a LCD projector.

So can anyone tell me a good lcd projector to look for around £500 max thanks

Christ, give it a chance

From what you've said I doubt you'll see many/any rainbows in a few weeks.

Re: Oh no I think I see DLP Rainbow

Slim, it's certainly true to say that some people find the effect fades, or at least that it bothers them less.

I'd certainly give it a go.

BTW, if you're watching a PAL DVD the output will be at 50hz. If you watch a Blu-ray Disc you can set it to output at 1080i/60hz. Some people find that the faster refresh rate helps.

Getting used to the Rainbow Effect - do you notice it less over time?

I doubt its a filter issue at this stage , as I said give it a few weeks to let the eye/brain adjust.
