Sanyo PLV-Z700 noise problem!

Hello everyone!

Having noise issues with my Z700!

Its so amazing quiet that is makes my PS3 and HTPC fan noise really stand out.
Have other users found they had to rework their HTPC's to bring the noise down to the same level as the Z700?

Any ideas, thoughts shared will help everyone

Thanks,
Mac

Let me just say Antec Fusion.

Frankly stellar, and very quiet - just be careful not to get a loud graphics card!

Re: Sanyo PLV-Z700 noise problem!

Thanks for the replies,

Had a good look at my options regarding making pc quieter but I already have an 800w almost silent psu and a heat pipe based cpu coolor.
In fact today I open my case and stopped the fans working and of course hard drives still made quiet a sound (I got six 500gb + two 2tb).
After seeing how well my case setup worked the only thing I could do was to dampen the sound pc foam, paxmate, that sort of stuff.
My case has a deep alu front panel so I was able to stuff some thick pc foam in there.
Anyway, three hours later finally had the thing back together and its now much better, no hard disk sound at all and remember I'm running 8, all that can be heard is the air flow and a slight hum from the 2x80mm extraction fans on the back of the case and I just cant turn them off as the pc overheats without them.

Ah, one tip, gonna try putting some paxmate around the area where the htpc lives and see if takes a bit more of the sound away.
