Quick Question Regarding HP DLP

Hi guys,

My old man has decided to take early retirement and 'hand me down' his HP projector that he mainly used for presentations at work. Model number is mp3130 and approx bulb usage is 500-750 hours (max). More info here -

HP Projectors: HP mp3130 DLP projector

I don't have much knowlege of projectors - is it any good?! Couldn't see any threads about said model, just wondering if it's worth anything or if it's of similar quality to newer models etc to warrant sticking with and getting some use out of. (I have no use for it in a business environment!)

Thanks

You might as well give it a go and see what you think, looks like it can accept a 720p, 1080 signal so it could be OK. My brother in law gave me a BenQ projector a couple of months ago that I have been very happy with so far for movies and games. At some point I think I will probably buy another as i really enjoy the experience of watching films this way.

Re: Quick Question Regarding HP DLP

Thanks Rick - problem is I don't have much wallspace to make the most of it! From what I've seen the quality looks good, although it's a bit odd in that it stands up Was possibly thinking about selling it but had no idea what value a second hand projector fetches - particularly a discontinued model! (Well it's that or move somewhere with more space to watch!)
