Projector Central throw calculator

Been having a look and just wondered.............

If the pointers and a little bit in the red is this ok

I currently have the Optoma HD78 (used the 79 for the comparison) and am looking at:

Panny AE3000
JVC 350
Optoma HD82

The PJ is about 3.9 mtrs from the 16:9 screen who's width is 208cm

The FTL is the target (12+) I would read some of the detailed Lumens reviews and check the light output as the HD100 for example is only 400-500 calibrated (depending on zoom) when new and my unit only 315 after 360 hours........

Cine4home.de is a good source for data (use google translate)

Re: Projector Central throw calculator

The red is is good, the green OK (but you'll have to be careful with lamp ageing) and the yellow is not so good.

Just on top of the throw distance slider is the magic figure of fL, I'd aim for something around 20 fL or higher with a new PJ.

Never heard of them
