PTAE2000 Bulb/something gone after 1000 hours

It was flickering, and running in non-eco mode (as recommended in another thread to fix flickers) did not fix it. A couple of nights ago it shut down, my wife was using it at the time and about 1 hour in she said it turned off, no loud pop but I am not sure that means it's not the bulb.

When I explained the symptons to AV-Sales they said it sounded like a broken power supply but panasonic insist it sounds like a broken bulb what should I do?

Send it back to the dealer you purchased it from who can arrange to send it to the Panasonic Projector Service Centre in Cardiff.

They will be able to diagnose the problem there. If there is a fault with the projector it will be covered under the 3 year warranty and if it is the lamp that has failed then you will need to replace this at your own cost as the lamps are only warrantied for 90 days or 500 hours, whicever is the sooner.

Although the lamp is designed to run for a maximum period of 2000 hours, there is no guarantee that they will all reach that lifespan which is why they are not warrantied for that period. It is rare for a lamp not to reach its intended lifespan but it does happen on occasions unfortunately.

Would I be able to see by looking at the bulb if it is at fault? It sounds like the bulb is at fault but my wife said there was no pop sound and I thought there was always a loud pop when a bulb goes?
