Lamp Supplier

Chaps

Everyone's buying these pj's but does anyone know where to get reasonably priced replacement lamps from? Please don't say pricejapan coz I tried that and you start searching for lamps and it's all in Japanese.

I haven't actually bought a pj "yet" (I made a deal with the missus to decorate house first , buy pj later . Seems like a good incentive) but was just trying to cover all eventualities.

Thanks in advance.

co-buying.com have a good price for the VW-10HT (LMP-P200). I'm not sure how they compare for other lamps.

I ordered a lamp for the HS10 from Japan and if I don't get caught for VAT it's going to cost €291 and if I do it will only cost about €315, surely this is the best price when compared to one of the links above where it is over €500

OK Conor, seems like you've cracked the pricejapan system. How do you get the price for the lamp you're looking for? Scuse me for being thick but I it doesn't seem like a very user friendly site to me. Pleeease tell me the secret.

Clint.

300 uk pounds???? they are less than that here in australia, I think they are about 600 bucks which roughly converts to 250 pounds which surprises me as we usually get smacked more for this sorta stuff

Go to pricejapan and click Ask Price Quote on the left of the screen. Fill in the form with the lamp model number (LMP-H180) and submit the form. Keneda will reply by email with a quote. Method of payment that I use is paypal. Go to www.paypal.com and setup an account (this may take a few days to go through.) You then click Order Form on the left of the Pricejapan Homepage and fill in the order form. Click on the How to Pay link on the Pricejapan homepage and click on the Paypal link to pay for the lamp (€291 in my case). You will probably be caught for VAT but you may also be caught for import duty, I'm not sure about that. I know that the projectors are exempt from duty but the lamps may not be.

Hope this helps

Ok, I got a quote from pricejapan for the TW100 (one of the pj's I'm considering) £227 delivered, not bad. When I asked for a quote for the HT1000 (another I'm considering) the reply was, quote "Sorry, we don't sell projector lamp of NEC, Toshiba, and JVC, unless you have bought its projector from us". Bugger, anyone know of a cheap supplier for the HT1000? Code for the lamp is LT60LP.
