Panny AE1000 vs Sanyo Z2000 (vs Panny AE2000)

I suspect my old Panny AE700 is dying (see here). so I am looking for a replacement. My main requirements are

1080p
LCD
Quiet
DVI/HDMI in.

In these harsh economic times I don't really want to spend much more than a grand. The best options seem to be the AE1000 or Z2000. Now the AE2000 is supposed to have the edge over the Z2000 however the AE1000 is a year older. What do you guys think would be the better PJ?

Also, I would probably get the AE2000 if I could. Anyone know a good cheap source, or if the prices are likely to drop soon?

Or are there any alternatives I should consider?

Have a look at the mitsubishi HC5500 too, its £1100 at ivojo but will do what you want.

Do you need a DVI socket?

Thanks, I'll take a look.

DVI or HDMI doesn't matter. I will feed it from a DVI source but already have a DVI-HDMI cable.
