New HD65 - Advice wanted!

I just purchased an optoma HD65 pro for the bargain price of £420 including an 84" panoview screen

Anyway i have mounted the projector screen from a piece of wood on the roof and its floating on a few pieces of chain. And on the other side of the room i bought a cheapie floating shelf from argos to place the projector on. However since the room is quite small i can only get approx 70" projected image. I wish however to make FULL use of my screen.

1) What is the best way of doing this on a budget? ( getting a larger projected image ) I heard of interesting setups using mirrors. Or is there anything i can do with some lenses?

2) Ive heard something about UHF or darkening filters, for making the image not so bright and the contrast better, what is the real case with these and are they of any benefit?

3) Any other advice for a new PJ owner? ( This is my first projector ! ) , ie how i can keep the projector in a good STILL position so im not knocking it. Or perhaps a PJ mount for a wall as opposed to doing it from the roof ( my roof is very tall! )

I toyed with the idea of using mirrors for a larger image but decided 70" was sufficiant. Try an ND filter, a 4X at that screen size should be ok, it'll help cut down on the rainbow effect if you are affected by it.
