Anyone here watching upscaled 1080P?

What I mean by that; is anybody using a PJ / TV with a resolution higher than 1920 x 1080? Just curious.

Re: Anyone here watching upscaled 1080P?

For TV the answer is no because there is no resolution higher than full HD.

There is a very small number of projectors with a higher resolution than full HD e.g. the Runco SC-1. I assume because they are so expensive these are always setup up by a professional installer and the owners are not the people looking around in a forum like this one

Re: Anyone here watching upscaled 1080P?

There are a few 9" CRT PJ users here who might be running at slightly higher than 1080p. Some those have a sweetspot of around 1100-1200 with really good tubes.
I have a friend who runs a 30" apple monitor as his only screen - running at 2560x1600 (although it's 16:10 ratio so HD doesn't fill the vertical height).

But it's definitely rare. I'm glad we can settle on 1080p for a while and focus on other improvements.

ISTR that Mad Mr. H is running 1440p on a CRT PJ setup.
