Projector & Screen Hire - advice required

Hi All,

I am getting married next year and need to hire a projector and screen for the event as we plan to have a rear projection screen showing a film during the buffet period. The rear projection screen will be tucked just inside a larke 6 metre long tent (screen around 8ft wide) with the projector as far back in the tent as necessary. I have the motion picture license sorted, but I need to sort out the hire of the projector and screen.

I contacted one company and was told a 4500 lumens projector would be ok for this (as rear projection loses some brightness, and it will be outside-allbeit in the shade), but the cost for screen and projector will be around £350 for the day.

Can anyone recommend a supplier for this, I live in the Bristol area, but am getting married in Gloucester.

Also, would the experts on this forum know if 4500 lumens was good enough for an outside showing of a movie?

Any help would be appreciated as i really have no idea.

Thanks all.

Re: Project & Screen Hire - advice required

Hi cardblower. I'll move this into the projector forum where you should be able to get some advice.
