HITACHI PJTX100,compared to todays PJs

Hi everyone,
Had a TX100 for a few years now, and been pleased with the service its given me apart from occasional vertical banding in some scenes, and dust blobs !!
Was still considered a pretty good PJ in its class in its day.
What I'd like to know is how does it compare to todays projectors, including the budget ones costing less than half what I paid...
Also, how is vertical banding on the latest LCDs ?? I read somewhere that some models are still prone ??
And Dust blobs, they still a problem, or limited to certain makes/ models ?

Thanks in advance for any replies..

You will be blown away. You are talking about several generations here.
Sanyos are very easy to clean (they come with a dust blower), if you live in a dusty environment.
I had my Z4 two years and never had to clean it.
The Z5 is a current model and you will get it for a very low price unless you consider to go HD. This would be a different story.
