Re: Samsung SPA400

It's good looking - I'll give it that - the same case as their well regarded A800 model.

The previous 720p model was absolutely plagued by problems, so hopefully they've learned a lot since then.

I couldn't find much with a search other than it hasn't got anything to do with Joe Kane and it's original RRP was 1499 Euros.

What were the problems on it?

Re: Samsung SPA400

If memory serves it was mostly bulb issues, along with other things.
I remember a lot of people saying they would never buy another Samsung product again!
This is the main thread for the product, but it's huge.
http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showt...ht=samsung+710

It's worth noting that the older 720 model was a joe kane model so many people bought it for it's out-of-the-box colour and greyscale accuracy.

Who knows how much of this has trickled down to the A400. I guess someone is going to have to bite the bullet

Re: Samsung SPA400

Looks like quite a good PJ from that review and so far all samsung products I have have been some of the best electronics I have ever owned, its got some impressive lumens at 2000 so daytime TV is doable, looks like I'll have to go and arrange a viewing somewhere
