Projector Mounting

Hello All

I am looking to get the optoma HD65 for my Home Cinema and was wondering what the best way to mount it will be as I rent and wont be able to attach it to my roof, are there any kinds of Projector stands out there at all?

Re: Projector Mounting

Hi there,

As far as I can tell the HD65 does not support lens shift. So therefore the PJ either has to be hung inverted or placed at coffee table height non inverted.

You could hang the PJ on a wall mount see HERE. I doubt that your landlord would ever notice if you filled the holes when moving out.

You could sit the PJ on a bookcase/cupboard behind where you sit. I have seen folk on here who have them inside a small hifi cabinet at the rear of the room.. looks very neat.

There are PJ stands, but I think they look a bit office/presentation room style for my liking.. may suit you though.. see HERE

Re: Projector Mounting

On a separate note, maybe have a look at the Optoma H78 or H79. It is much more room configurable.. lens shift/good(ish) zoom/vertical & horizontal keystone correction, they are of better quality and MUCH quieter.
The downside is that you will have to buy second hand (should be about £450)

Very Very Nice I like that I think I'll add it to my shopping trolley for pay day, that should work nice with the HD65 but I have also just seen the INFOCUS X10 which looks like it will end up in my HC now instead lol
