Very quick and (hopefully) basic Question

Hi there,

Firstly, I'd like to thank everyone as this forum was a major contributor to me buying an HD65, and i love it. However, so far, i have only used it for films and gaming. I was wondering how you could connect it up to watch TV, as no-one seems to specify how to change from the aerial connection to one the pj can accept.

Thanks a lot

Dave

P.S. I don't own any form of amp.

Re: Very quick and (hopefully) basic Question

Hi,

How do you get sound without an amp?? Whats currently connected to your pj?? Is it just a pc or something??

Anyway, I watch TV through a virgin box, but any sort of digi box will work, but you will need speakers of sorts.

If you running stuff through a pc, yo could get a tv card for that. but you cant just plug an ariel into the pj.

A Freeview, Sky, Virgin, Freesat etc box is required as the PJ has no TV tuner.

depends on the box, you may just want to get an old vcr or something that can pick up analogue..

Sorry to hijack a bit. I have a Virgin box which only has a SCART cable. How can I connect this to my HD65 as it doesn't have a SCART connection.

The HD65 box comes witha scart to VGA adapter. Try that one.

Thanks a lot.
To answer your question bout sound, have currently been running through a PS3 so that the video is via HDMI, and the sound is via composite + and an adaptor to a 3.5mm Jack to speakers. Seemed to work fine ;-)
