XV-Z3000, moving house, downtrade?
I'm about to move house and I've considered offing my (still lovely) Sharp XV-Z3000 and downtrading to a s/h HD PJ for about £200-250 (Sanyo Z or similar). I can't recall the hours on my Sharp - I'd say about 250 so it's not getting on, it's still quite new and in perfect nick, box and all. I'd guess I could get a decent amount for it as it is a great piece of kit. BUT, am I mad? Should I forget this and stick with the great or off it for the good and some helpful cash. I still love having a PJ so I can't stand to sell it outright and use all the cash to move but some would help and if I can do that and a good s/h PJ then maybe I should?
What do you think?
Tthe Sharp is still awesome, even just on my wall but it's in a long room (a bedroom) that I have a kind of gallows setup holding it up, balanced with weights on the other end and a bracket. Moving to a rented flat with a front room is not likely to accommodate this set up so well and I don't want it to have to sit next to me (noise) and lose the image size (it's about 100" at the mo).
