PS3 Time Crisis and PJ - has any anyone got 1?

I have just finished my dedicated theatre room and a noob to the AV world. Love my Epson TW2000, I couldnt imagine gaming on an anything else.

My question I hope you can help with is has any one succesfully managed to hook these up. Im a huge time crisis fan, even tho its had so so reviews I still want it, but I have a 106" fixed frame screen and my equipment rack is approximatly 3 metres away from the screen.

I have done some searching but no definative answer as yet.

The following vid on U Tube looks like its possible with a PJ and looks like it could be fun.

Please help I really want to blast away

I'd rather play somthng like Resident Evil on the Wii. But at least you could play that in 720p. It would be pretty awesome.
But what's your question?

I just wanted to know if anyone here has managed to hook it all up to a PJ and if it works relatively well.

I heard the wiring for the sesor bars is not that big, i.e. 2 sensors on either side of screen, mostly designed for plasma and lcds, will they stretch to a 106" fixed frame screen?

Well if the sensors are Infra-red which i assume they are then yes, it shouldn't be a big task as long as you have long enough cables.
If you can't get long enough cables it's easier to get a longer HDMI cable for the console.
So you could move the playstation closer to the screen.
I've only ever had Time Crysis for the ps1 an ps2, with the ps2 i never needed a infra-red sensor, i'm not completely sure how it worked, but it sure did work.

The wiring on the sensors is very short, I can get them to the absolute corner edge on my 32" Samsung. Supposedly the sensors don't need to be either side of the screen, as long as they're stretched as far apart as possible and you run the calibration ingame they'll work. Remember, you need some kind of powered USB port to run the sensors, and then a USB port on the PS3 spare to plug the gun in. The gun cable isn't that long but a simple USB extension cord will do

yeah, what he said

you need to experiment with image size and distance. You can put the sensors at the bottom of the screen and shoot 'outside' them, but not too far. So if you have a massive screen you might need to shrink it a little, or stand further back so the angle from your gun to the sensors isn't too wide.

Be interested to see how you get on, havne't tried this myself, only played it on my TV

Thanks for all the responses guys, loking around for what it costs at the moment, I will try and see if I can get one to play around with unless any one close to east london has one already and they are more than welcome to try on my system.
