AE100 - yellow or purple ?

AE100 - yellow or purple ?
Looking into the rear of my fathers AE100 (bought last month) I noticed the glow from the bulb??? was bright yellow. On checking my machine - Feb 02 - the glow is a purple like a UV tube.

Anyone know what the difference is?
