Infocus 4805 problems

I have been having problems with my Infocus 4805.
I recently took out the bulb and filters to clean it.
Ever since i am getting alot of flashes and interference on the picture.
It will flash and occasionally the picture will go completly. I then reboot it and it will be fine.
It doesn't always happen but im finding it more and more now.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Or does anyone know a good service/repair centre in the North West?
cheers

Does sound like a hardware fault. Phone infocus and explain the problem. Chances are that it might cost more to get repaired then the projector is worth.

Re: Infocus 4805 problems

It may just be a poor connection when you put the bulb holder back in. The first thing I'd do is take it out and put it back in again having a look in the connector to make sure that its clean and clear.

Did you change the firmware whilst you had it down? There was a 'flashing' problem on an earlier firmware. If the picture goes completely give it at least 15mins before restarting. 'Hot' restarts will shorten your bulb life.

Infocus repairs end up in Holland eventually so better off contacting them directly but like Cyberheater said it is unlikely to be cheaper to fix than replace.
