Calibration disc

After a calibration disc for my JVC HD1
Just purchased the WinDVD9 +bluray software player for my PC.
(plays both HDDVD & BluRay unlike the new Power DVD)
Only played King Kong & Blade Runner HDDVD's so far, but with good result.
Standard DVD platback with the all2HD upscaling isthe best I've seen.
So back on topic, what's available on the calibration front to squeeze the last bit of image quality out of my system.

Thanks in advance

It depends how far you want to go. Beyond basic calibration you need additional hadware and software tools to calibrate colour gamut/temp, grayscale, gamma etc. It is possible to find free specilaist calibration software/patterns (http://www.homecinema-fr.com/colorimetre/index_en.php) and AVSforum.com. A colorimeter/spectroradiometer measuring device is also needed to take readings and basic colorimeter start at around £75-£150. The more expensive devices are typically more accurate and high quality spectroradiometers run in to £k's. The alternative is to pay to have your setup ISF calibrated by a specialist.

Personally I would save the money and download HD DVD and Blu-ray calibration material here - http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=948496

Just follow the instructions and burn the HD encoded content to a standard DVD. There's also instructions in the link to perform basic calibration.
