New to projectors - help me with my first purchase.

I hope to be in a posistion, in about 2 months to purchase my first projector.

I seek some advice from you guys as to which projector would be the best bang for buck on a budget of aroud £700 - £800. Suggestions of just over that amount will be taken onboard also.

It will be mainly used for Blu-ray viewing ( PS3 ) and gaming ( PS3 & Xbox360 ).

Any help would be most appreciated and if anyone cares to help educate me on some of the terminology of this scene and some of the do's / don'ts I would be in their debt.

Also any screen suggestions / explanations of the different kinds of screen would be helpful aswell.

I'm in the same boat as you, about to jump over to PJ land. One I'm looking at is the Panasonic PT-AX200 which you can still find for under £800 from what I've been reading it's a cracking 720p PJ and I cant wait to get one!

There is an owners thread on this forum.

Is of course an LCD PJ which you seem to get more features for your money compared to equivalant DLP. Of course DLP v LCD is a whole seperate debate.
