| Re: HDMI to projector query ?
it all depends on the quality of the cable at that length.
Many people are correct in thinking that, at shorter lengths, the brand of the cable and cost is irrelevant as the digital signal either gets there or it doesn't. However, again taking the general view of the majority, once the cable run gets longer than, say, 7m, the quality of the cable can affect performance.
I would say that a 10m/12m cable is fine, just make sure you purchase a cable that will do the job properly and suits your budget. There are many cables available that will do the job but I would suggest looking at some brand names such as Profigold, QED etc and weigh up the cost against the overall price of your system and go from there.
I run a 10m profigold HDMI cable from my SkyHD/PS3 to my Optoma HD73 and paid £80 for this cable. The equivalent QED one was around £130, I think.
Good luck with your search.
