Breaking news.. another new Sony SXRD projector - VPL-HW10

More details over at avs.

Looks like it will be a cut price VW40.

Are two cut price versions of the VW60 really necessary??

Re: Breaking news.. another new Sony SXRD projector - VPL-HW10

If I can save £250 to £500 by eschewing powered zoom and focus I'd happily buy this ahead of a VPL-VW40.
Let us hope that Sony UK get the price right. £2K or less for the 40 and £1.5K or less for the 10 ( and dropping the price of the 60 to £2.5K would make sense as well !)
I'm holding fire on a new PJ to see what happens with these new Sonys ( and am very interested to see how Panasonic and JVC respond )

Meva, I think you're right, with such a varied SXRD range, Sony now have the products to really sweep up the front projection market in the UK.

If anyone from Sony is reading this, if you can set the street prices close to the following, I think you may start selling projectors again.

VW60 - £2499

VW40 - £1999

HW10 - £1749

Start adding a few hundred pounds onto each of these price points and there are better/equally good options.
