Am i going crazy or is my HS10 case warping?

Wonder if you HS10 users can check the white casing round your pj. I glanced up at mine (ceiling mounted) last night and noticed a line that extends from back to about 4 inches away from buttons. It is dead centre of the case edging. I also have aline that comes down perpendicular to this which i think is a join . Not sure if its always been like that.

Cheers

I don't have those on my HS10.

If you look at the pictures of Comer's HS10 in the thread on "HS10 silencing" you will see that he doesn't have them either!

Have you overtightened the fixing screws on your mounting? if the mounting is not perfectly flat you will warp the case doing that... Or if you haven't used enough screws for some reason maybe?

I have my unit resting upside-down on a shelf to save the case from any issues like the above. Maybe you could try that...

Cheers
J

That is a bit worrying. I dont think i over tightened the screws.

Just looked at mywebsite and the picture i took when i first put it up shows the line from the back but its a lot closer to buttons now. Also noticed in Kramers thread that he has lines at back

Yes but it looks like mine is extending all way round case now to couple of inches from buttons. From the pictures of comers it doesnt look like his does that. So not sure if the grove is a weak pint and the stress is making it grow. How far does yours extend?

Trick of the light I think.... mine is 2 1/2 inches from buttons and its a solid moulding. I dont think tightening screws is going to make it more pronounced. If you have only just got it I know you will be being over cautious, have you looked closely for dead pixels yet? lol, thats a killer!

When you have built a box around it to keep it quiet you won't notice it
