Philips bcool picture problem

Hi, I have had a Philips bcool sv1 projector for quite some time and I finally got around to getting a lamp for it. I installed the lamp and was dissappointed to see that the picture was very poor. I do not know how to describe it but the colour looked like it was a cartoon or painting and there was a dark area eaither side of the picture.

Here are some pics showing the problem.

Can someone please give me some idea what is causing this as I assume it is not the lamp.

Thanks,
Michael

Re: Philips bcool picture problem

Hi - I have an sv2 besure - I had the same problem (not so bad as yours) -I tweaked with the colour saturations in one of the menu options and it seemed to help. BTW how much would I have to fork (approx) out for a philips lamp ? - Mine's getting longer & longer to reach full brightness.

Richard

I looked online for a bulb for the bcool sv1 and they all seemed to be £350 -£450. Eventually waited 6 months and got one on eBay for £85. Bulbs for the bsure SV2 on eBay seem to be going for around £150 so it might be worth keeping your eyes open and you should pick one up at a reasonable price.
