Dirty projector lense - a little help pls

I seem to have a big smudge dead in the center of my lense - probably caused when I tried to adjust the focus and missed in the dark. I've tried using a glasses cleaning cloth, but that's just spread it about and made it larger. Would something like lighter fuel or white spirit do the trick? Or perhaps window cleaner?

Hi Warbie,

Get yourself a microfibre cloth and use it dry or just slightly damp, it will absorb the grease without using any harmful chemicals.

Lighter fluid or white spirit could cause damage if not to the lens to the casing.

PS dont pay through the nose for microfibre cloths try www.concoursfinish.co.uk they have excellant microfibre cloths 5 for £5 +p&p

Hope this helps

Regards

John
