setting contrast and brightness on the sim2

hi there, I have a sim2 DMF projector and I've been calibrating my projector lately.

If I use avia then my brightness is about 60 and my contrast is about 51 (from memory). This however makes my picute a little dim to watch. I also have my projector set to film (though graphics looks brighter) and the color temp to high.

So, to compensate for the lack of brightness I have adjusted my values to have a brightness of 71 and a contrast of 69. What am I missing when I have these values tweaked up this high? I am running in progressive mode so the color is not adjustable.

thanks for any help on this.
