Sony VPL-VW60 Projector Reviews Review now up...

http://www.projectorreviews.com/sony/vpl-vw60/index.php

Some negatives are the out of the box colour and below average sharpness.

' Out of the box color is not good, needs serious adjustment '

Sounds like you need to add the cost of a professional calibration (circa £250) to the already ridiculous UK price of the VW60...

However regardless of the UK price issue, Art does go on to say some good things..

' The bottom line, is that the Sony has it, and it yields an initial reaction of being more impressive than my JVC '

' The Sony is just wonderful to watch movies on. While entry level price projectors like the Sanyo and Panasonic are great projectors, with really good picture quality, the Sony, with its better black levels and other magic, is a step up projector '

Re: Sony VPL-VW60 Projector Reviews Review now up...

Thank Zag - Looks good - shame that it doesn't just muster a few more lumens in low lamp mode so that there's room to compensate for lamp dimming with high lamp mode, but even so it sounds like a great PJ. At the prices in Japan/Hong Kong, I think this just hit the top of my list.

Yep, you really feel you can buy based on his reviews don't you. It's nice now that we're getting a full picture of the available projectors too.
Once he's done the HD100 and Epson, all will become clear until a raft of new projectors next autumn!
