Re: Screen possition

keystone doesn't move where the picture is, it just corrects the edges if you were to have the projector off-centre.

What are the specifics of your problem?

I know it doent but when i adjust the angle of the pj the screens edges are off.

right, im making a shelf to put it on that is halfway up my wall and the pj projects near enough on the ceiling lol.

Re: Screen possition

Ah i see i had the same problem.

Some people choose to stuff a few dvds under the back legs of the pj to lower where the screen is projected but apparently this can damage the pj over time.

I myself just opted to place the pj on a fairly low tv stand with gd results.

Another option is is to place the pj upside down, then change the settings in the menu to project an upside down image.

I don't see it being a problem but would something more solid such as a length of wood. It won't need a lot of height at the back.

My PJ has a foot at the back that winds down and I have it out max all the time. Without it, it would be projecting a lot higher. The rather annoying thing is the PJ doesn't have the same thing the opposite side so I used a couple of drink mats to raise it the other side.

How will it damage it? Mine has feet too but only one comes out :S whats the point in that!! :P

so if i have a length of wood to raise the back it will damage it? as i have nowhere else to put itand i cant mount it upside down as i cant get a mount.

Re: Screen possition

If your projector is tilted to much, there's a possibility the heat from the lamp will damage the insides of the projector. It all depends on the cooling system/air duct flow.
If you have a DLP projector, it's expected to be used within the height of the adjustable feet. If you exceed this by packing books/DVD's or bits of wood under the pj to raise/tilt it, you could void your warranty and your projector will probably fail before it's time.
Hope this helps.

Re: Screen position

I thought it was a bit odd to only have one adjustable back leg but i think its just useful for straightening up the projected image. Quite useful for me actually

Re: Screen position

It would most likely onlt be raised as far as the one foot comes out, is this ok?

Re: Screen position

I'd say you will be alright with a bit of tilt. Just check the pj after its been on a while see where its getting hot i'm sure you'l recognise if somethings wrong,.
