i want from lcd i had an old panasonic a300 and went for the cheap optoma hd70, i prefer the dlp image to the lcd one, the other thing that swayed me was the problems you will get from degradation of lcd panels over time due to heat. You wont get this from lcd and dlp projectors are less prone to dust problems than lcd. However the disadvantage with the dlp is the longer throw need to get the same size image, with my lcd projector i could get a 106" diag image from around 12ft,whereas with the optoma from the same 12 ft i can only get a 92" diag image.

So you need judge whats better for you, no doubt the panasonic and the optoma will produce great images, you just need to judge whats more important for you.

If you're planning to use the hdmi connection you may wish to be aware of this thread. Although I started it because of the described problem with the AX100, it appears to still be an issue with the AX200.
