new PJ and screen question

Hi
I am fitting out a new cinema room and would like the answer to just one question.

the PJ will be cieling mounted but how close to the screen can it be
I ask as i wish to use it for video games aswell and dont want to have the problem of getting in the way of the projection image.

The screen will be around 100"

Thanks

Re: new PJ and screen question

You'll need to tell us what projector you've got mate so we can check the specifications.

use this
http://www.projectorcentral.com/proj...ulator-pro.cfm

to work out how close it can be to create the image size you want with chosen projector, the closer also means the brighter too! If you want it to be the least in the way, the closer the better i guess while not sacrificing the screen size you want!

may i suggest the panasonic ax 200? (on the calculator its under panasonic home as a brand)

ive heard the technology used to get rid of the chicken wire effect can soften the image, which i saw for myself a couple years ago with their first budget lcds. i wonder if this is still the case though and whether the AX200 suffers from it....... also how are the blacks compared to say the Optoma HD70?.........
