Better PS2 picture?

I was wondering what i need to do to get the best PS2 picture possable from my Panny.

At the moment i am using Component leads, but i heard that if u run a PS2 through a monitor u get a picture that is even better than a normal TV!!

I know theres a box that cost's about £50 that lets u play the PS2 on a monitor but could i make this work for the Panny? or is there another way to get a better picture?

Cheers

I have two options for viewing my PS2 at the moment,
1) The component video lead
2) Via S-Video => HPTC => DScaler.

I can honestly say the difference is marginal. That is too say,
neither is better, just different! They are both great though.

Try with a progressive scan game such as Tekken 4 or The Getaway.

I tried Progressive Scan on The Getaway but it didnt seem to do anything

So the Ps2 to Monitor thing is not worth buying or trying?
