Question question about hertz

There are TV-s with both 50hz and 100hz. Latter give a much calmer, less vibrant picture. My question is: Is there a corresponding concern with PJ-s? I am especially interested in what regards HS2.

No, because the pj produces the image in a different way to a crt.

When buying a digital PJ, you'll find other concerns which impact image quality greater than a little flicker would.

LCD and DLP are the main types, and both have their pros and cons. You really have to demo both types to see if which you prefer.

I haven't seen the HS2 myself, but I'm sure there a few on here who have.

Gary.

HS2 is an LCD projector. All LCD devices, by their nature, do not actually have a visible refresh rate, in the same way that CRTs do. Indeed, you can run an LCD monitor (on a PC) at 50hz non-interlaced and see a flicker-free stable image, whereas the same signal on a CRT would probably make you ill.
