Any HD72i owners?

Hi,

I've had a HD72i for ages which has always had the firmware bug which caused the settings to reset. I sent it back about a month ago and its now been sorted, although they told me there was no fault found (it seems).

BUT I now hear a high pitched noise constantly, it's not load but it's enough to bother me during a film.

I remember my HD72i made this noise when switching sources and only lasted a couple of secs but now it's constant ..... can someone please have a check and confirm that this noise does occur and dissappear when switching sources.

I'm just hoping they "hear" it and sort it for me when it goes back again.

Thanks guys

Re: Any HD72i owners?

My HD72i has always made that high pitched whining noise. Usually after it's been on for a while, an hour or so. It's cheaply made you see. Lots of plastic spinning things in it whereas something like a Sim 2 would have metal spinning things in it. Well that's what the bloke in the shop said when I went to buy a pair of speakers .

Re: Any HD72i owners?

I've had my HD72i for nearly 18 months, with 985 hours on the bulb. I have to admit, I haven't heard a high pitched whirring noise at all, no tmatter how long I've had the pj on for, let alone just when i change inputs. Maybe its because the day-to-day noise of the fan drowns it out

That's probably no help whatsoever - sorry!

Mark
