Quick Question: Lumens!

Hi all after a projector for my bedroom, its about 12 ft square, i was wondering on a decent lumens i should get, will be used in day bit will be semi shaded, and my curtains will fully blackout the room once shut aswell, i was look at around 2000 lumins?

for all types of light conditions I think anything over 1500 should get you through... but even with the brightest projector you will still lose image quality in bright light...

Hi Betty,
Realistically, if you can blackout or at least darken the room (stop light from hitting the screen surface) then 1000 Ansi Lumens is more than enough. Some even have a brightness of less than 700 lumens.
If you had a problem with bright conditions, then yes, you would need 2000 and above.
