I have a usual progressive scan DVD player with these outputs:

• optical digital audio out
• coaxial digital audio out
• video out (rca)
• audio out (rca)
• component video out (y/pb/pr)
• s-video out

and a usual LCD projector with these inputs:

• rgb in
• s-video in
• video in (rca)
• audio in (rca)

I have them connected now by s-video and audio cables.

I bought a VGA-to-3-RCA-Component cable because I thought it would improve my video clarity, and finally to get to use my DVD player's progressive scan feature.

The cable doesn't work. :-( I bought all these from eBay so I'd like to ask you gentlemen what went wrong. Any ideas or suggestions?
