Help Themscene H72i HTPC setup no picture

My rig

HTPC using 8800GTS Nvidia graphics card - DVI out into one of the two HDMI-in slots in Pioneer 1016 amp, then out of amp to projector. (used as a switcher box allows 2 HDMI's in)

Unfortunately no picture when power up projector........says no signal received.

I have DVD player HDMI into the amp and out via switcher again into the PJ without any no problems, normal DVD that upscales to 720.

Via the Nvidia settings on the HTPC I have enabled 1280 x 720 resoltion to get as close to the PJ but no success.

Anybody got any suggestions.

Try without the switch first. You would be surprised how these can affect EDID etc.

Also try moving the PC close and using a short cable.

Re: Help Themscene H72i HTPC setup no picture

cheers mate the 50hz refresh did the trick....perfect.

However now the screen is oversized on my plasma...oh well can't have everything.

Might see if I can change the screen size in the Pioneer engineer settings if I know whatI'm looking for, I know how to access the menu but thats about it.

Interesting the 60hz on the plasma lets me manually adjust the screen through the 8800 nvidia fraphics card but when I select the 50hz the option is not displayed anymore...strange.

Sounds like you may have your card set up in clone mode. Try setting up in dualview.
