Put it another way. It's a lot cheaper then a replacement for the PJ.

Yes. A bargain. Now where did you see this

Does this use the same bulb as the XV-Z3000?

Darn it I may just buy the projector at that price just for a spare lamp. How much can I flog it without a lamp for?

Re: Sharp XV-Z100 for £235 - is this a bargin?

Well I just went ahead and ordered, just to remove the bulb. And flog the rest, the whole PJ with bulb is almost half the price of a replacement for my XV-Z3000. Hopefully the bulbs are the same as a google search suggested they both use the AN-100LP. Only thing that worries me is xv-z3000 is 1200 lumens while the xv-z100 is rated at 1000 lumens. Is this anything to worry about?

http://www.misco.co.uk/applications/...&sourceid=2004

Tempted myself but with the amount I use the pj if it gets anywhere near its quoted 3000 hour mark in eco mode I will probably never need a replacement bulb

Thing is I'm sure this price will only last a few days and on ebay I reckon you can get at least £150 brand new without a bulb from someone. So in essence you are spending less than £100 for a new bulb.

Well as the saying ' If it's too good to be true, then it probably is' goes, well it applies again. Seems to be a misprice lads, just spoke to customer services and the orders aren't being processed and we will receive phone calls on Monday.

The only problem with selling this on ebay is you are only going to get two kind of buyers.

1) Someone with a spare bulb and no pj to go with it, which is unlikely

or

2) Someone who thinks it is a good price for a decent pj only to find out after buying it that the bulbs cost 3 times as much as the pj they just bought for a 'bargain'

I personally couldn't sell someone a pj without revealing the true cost of the replacement bulb at which point they probably wouldn't want it.

Re: Sharp XV-Z100 for £235 - is this a bargin?

Well it's still up for the same price.

TBH though, I don't really think it would be worth that much more as it's resolution only 854x480, and you can get a full HD model for just a few hundred more.

EDIT: surely they should have to honour the price by law, as thats the price it states. Office of fair trade and a link to the page for them anyone.

Maybe they realised they can make more selling the bulbs on their own rather than the pj.

As for the law, no they are not obliged to honour the price on the website as you are only making an offer to buy at that price, until they actually accept the offer i.e. take payment etc they are not obliged to do anything

Is this projector actually any good? I can’t find any info about it.

Is anyone actually looking to buy this to use or just for the bulb and sell on the rest?

How does this compare to the Benq w100 or Infocus In72 other then lacking a HDMI input?

The difference between the DT500 and the XV-Z3000 was the XV-Z3000's dual iris system. If this machine has the same dual iris then that will be the only difference. If it does not then it seems likely that they will be one fo the same model.

You not planning on keeping a bulb for your xv-z3000?

After being told it was a misprice yesterday they told me today mine is on the way also. You could even just advertise the bulb and get £300 maybe which is also over £100 less than retail. Can't believe this bargain, gonna keep a bulb and ebay the others.

Re: Sharp XV-Z100 for £235 - is this a bargin?

Misco are still showing the price and stock as available for the projector , but no i doudt i'll keep a bulb as i imagine i will only put around 500 hours on the sharps xv3000 before i upgrade to a 1080 projector , i imagine....but i must say the sharps xv3000 is a great piece of kit , impressed with its colours etc.

I would of kept one , but i also have my z4 which is going to be setup downstairs for tv viewing where as the sharps is upstairs for gaming and movies.

I'm in shock. I only bought it for the bulb to go with my XV-Z3000 but I though I'd try it out. And the XBOX 360 hooked up via component via the adaptor provided with the PJ looks excellent in 720p.
