Thanks for the mounting advice - I live in rented property so drilling the ceiling is a no-no but can I run it upside down on a shelf? (I know that's not idea but what would the difference be from mounting it on the ceiling upside down?) |
Thats the noise level on full lamp. You can still hear the disc skipping on the 360 over the projector easily, although I would say that the projector is louder than the 360 when the console is on but just in dashboard.
I'm really fussy when it comes to sound as well and like wizard of oz1 run quite PC's as I hate loud fans. With projectors I dont think that you need to worry as much as you're trapped in the film itself plus the sound of dialogue and explosions etc mute out all the fan noise. Dont forget also that my projector is also louder than the Z3000 that you wish to purchase.
I've read some glowing reviews of that projector and the price it is at right now I'd go for it. That is some bargain for sure

Picture quality is much more important than a few extra decibels from the fans IMO. Mounting upside has no effect on PQ so far as I am aware.
