AE100 flicker

OK,
I am now getting a bit miffed. My Panny is constantly flickering.
I have had it back to the workshop and they tell me there's nothing wrong?
But it's there and once I've seen it I can't stop seeing it
It has also developed a large green circle in the centre of the screen.
I can only see it on dark sequences and I assume it is a spec of dust.
Is it best to send the darn thing back...again......????
I know it has a great image etc but sometimes this proj really gets on my nerves

Ta

Chris

There is a known lamp flicker phenomenon ( I hesitate to call it a problem) with the ae100. Mine does it occasionally but if anything its become less of an occurence over time rather than got worse.

Bad flicker has also been associated with the flashing red led of death problems in the past also . So if its real bad your machine might be getting ready top snuff it .

(Mines a refurb so its already been fixed by panny).

It gets worse about 1 hour into a movie and then calms down.
I have tried different sources but have yet to try a really expensive decent cable, so I may give it a go.

Cheers

I doubt its the cable. Maybe the lamp needs to stabilise a bit or something: mine rarely does it these days but it was worryingly common at first.
