Benq w100

I have been considering buying a benq w100 for a while then i read the following page here and it states that it is possible for the projector to output 720 p and 1080i. first off is this true? and if so would i jsut need a HDMI to DVI (here) to play my ps3 through it and get 720P? (if not what kind of picture quality would i get?) also if anyone could suggest some good places on the net to purchase my projector from?

thanks for your help in advance

The PJ is HD comapatible. It has to be HD Ready to output 720 or 1080. HD compatible means it will accept a 720 or 1080 signal but, it will downscale to the resolution of the PJ. In this case, it is 480.

You can indeed use a HDMI to DVI cable as I use one on my SD DVD player. £30 is a bit too much though.

I use this one.

Re: Benq w100

It will stil look better than SD as the source is better than SD (bitrate and resolution).
