Nope. You infocus most likely handles DVI-D D=digital, VGA is analogue. Has it got a Component input?

M1-DA can do both Digital and Analogue (DA).

Is there a analogue button on the PJ remote for the M1-DA connection?

Those adapters are for plugging into the back of a PC to change the gender from DVI to VGA, i.e. split off the analogue output, and I would guess they are not designed to work the other way round. Just found this http://www.keene.co.uk/electronics/m...?mycode=KAM1DA

They are for Infocus PJ's and anything else with a M1-DA socket. Even though a DVI signal will work through them. They are not DVI sockets (they are longer and have different pins). It is possible to get adapters for which way you want. I have seen VGA to M1-DA on a Infocus IN72 PJ using a laptop.

Re: Infocus SP4805 .....VGA input ?!?!

I use one a similar adaptor on my 4805 from my scaler over 9m of VGA cable and it gives a great picture. Are you outputting RGB from the source?

I'm sure the advice is well meant; but incorrect. Your adaptor looks OK to me. This connection on this projector doesn't take well to double adaptation either - although thats more a HDMI - DVI thing. If your x-box allows try outputting a standard computer resolution eg. 640x480 and see if it can lock to that. And don't forget the old chestnut of trying a different cable.

Re: Infocus SP4805 .....VGA input ?!?!

Either find something to amplify the signal or alter the settings the 4805's menus to compensate. What was the solution to your original problem?
