Panny ax & Xbox 360 size issues

hi,

I just noticed something strange with my panny and xbox. I dont think it's an xbox issue but i'll explain. when i connect to the pj from the xbox using component i get a perfect 720p picture filling the screen. When i connect the xbox to a crt monitor i get a perfect screen as this is selected in the xbox screen resolution option. But here's the problem when i connect the xbox 360 to the panny via svga cable i get a smaller screen! I've tried all the xbox resolution up as far as the panny will take and they all suffer from the same issue i.e. a blank area to the right of the projection area. I have tried both manual and auto positioning to try and rectify the problem. With auto the bar is larger and with manual i can set the slider to the far right but this still leaves a bar. I can see all of the xbox screen so it's no missing any visual it's just that it doen't seem to be a true 1280 X 720 image by the looks of things. Anyone else have this problem with the xbox 360 and panasonic ax100 and if so how do i rectify it? Thanks.

P.S. if i connect the pc to the pj via svga that picture is fine - it's currently connected via dvi to hdmi which is fine.

try setting to 1024x768 then using the auto aligment on the ax100 menu seems to work xbox in 720p mode dont seem to display proper like black bar on one side of screen but that mode works excellent if using a vga cable

Re: Panny ax & Xbox 360 size issues

cheers aibo, ill give it a try. I've been assuming 720p 1 to 1 pixel mapping was what i needed to use so didn't try the 4:3 resolutions.
