hi dude i was gonna post about this exact same prob till i read this
basically i started getting screen burn retention on the blue panel, after reading some forums and and finding out that if i cleaned it it could get rid of it so i took it apart and used compressed air to blow away the dust.
When reasemblling it the picture lacks one colour looks like yellow panel is mising??? but the strange thing is when it is flipped or reveressed the colour is fine although the screen is moved to the left or right (cant remember)by an inch or two.
So i bought a 40 samsung lcd to repalce it cant get used to this small screen

with the intention to get it looked at christmas.
I rang panasonic today (no answer) does anyone know will they charge me for just looking at it if so how much??? and does it come of the price of the repair if u go ahead with it??
Also what was wrong with your fathers for it to be that expensive to get repaired i really dont want to spend that much getting oit fixed but....
otherwise its going on eaby sold as seen with the original bulb any ideas whats it worth as is ????
cheers for reading/answering Bri
